EMMA TARRANT
Emma Tarrant is a qualified Positive Horsemanship Trainer. Emma has been around horses all of her life.
Riding racehorses from the age of 14 and throughout her teens, showjumping and managing competition yards, but her real interest has always been ‘problem horses’.
Emma qualified as a positive horsemanship trainer in June 2007 after studying with Vanessa Bee.
Emma works with a variety of clients from first time owners to world class competition riders.
Loading, ridden and handling issues and wild pony training are several of the areas she covers.
Emma uses a positive, quiet approach and instils confidence in both horse and handler, creating a balanced partnership based on understanding and trust.
When Emma is not working with clients and their horses she is traveling the country filling her own ‘tool box’
Emma has spent time abroad studying wild horses and is currently working alongside 5 other trainers setting up a wild pony research project in the UK which aims to give the public the chance to spend time watching and learning about equine behaviour and the 'true' nature of the horse by getting back to the source.
Emma is currently working alongside Vanessa Bee founding the new sport Horse Agility which has been a very successful project and is proving to be hugely popular not only in the UK but worldwide! She is also a Horse Agility Accredited Trainer and Judge (HAAT).
Emma rides and works with some of the top trainers in the UK and Europe, including riding regularly with top classical riding coach Perry Wood and studying the works of great horseman such as Dr Gerd Heuschmann, Monty Roberts, Mark Rashid, Philippe Karl and Ray Hunt to name a few. Emma is available for one to one yard visits, clinics and consultations.
